D2CKey (Wii Mod Chip)

For those who were gone from the Wii hacking Scene after the first & the second version wiis were released. There is now a new dvd drive in the wii’s called the D2C Chip set. (TO CHECK IF YOU HAVE A D2CCHIP SET, ENTER YOUR WII SERIAL AT WIITRACKER) Nintendo designed this chipset to not work with the most modchips such as the Wiikey and the Wiinja.

There is now a modchip that can work with these types of dvd circuit boards called the D2Ckey. This Chip requires over 30+ wires to be soldered and without the wii-clip this would be a very difficult task unless you are a pro solderer.

But there is now a separate piece that can make this process about 100x easier and best of all its SOLDERLESS!! Its Called the Wii-clip, they have alot of different varieties to fit different types of modchips. For the D2cKey the Version of wii-clip would be V1. They Explain more into details at wii-clip.com.

There is a reseller of the wii-clip and D2Ckey called Modchip.ca, They are very good and fast when it comes to shipment and quality. They also give you a option on when you purchase a modchip and a wii-clip they will go ahead and presolder everything for you so when you get the chip all the hard part is already done for you, all you would need to do is snap it in the right spot, put everything back together and you are set and ready to play backed up wii games. and now you have a hacked wii!

D2C wiiclip for d2c wiis!

If you are worried about voiding you warrentee have no fear because The Nintendo Wii does not have a security sticker. so if you ever needed to return your wii all you would need to do is unclip the chip, put the wii back together, then you way back to the store.
